Beginnings in the Garden

Even though the phrase “inner child” is a familiar one, there can still be some mystery around what that really is. In this episode, Asia shares the first time she met her inner child and the shocking surprise and subsequent courage it took to accept what she saw. This meeting spurred the inner dialogues critical to her healing journey and was a powerful initiation in addressing the mistrust and suspicion her inner child held. Consciously woking with these perceptions played a key role in Asia’s formal therapy sessions years later. As with any relationship, the one with the inner child requires time and attention. Asia goes into how the separation of self is so often rooted in early childhood perceptions that deserve an honest ear and true compassion.
